Why Plan a Corporate BBQ for Your Employees?

Planning a corporate BBQ on a sunny Friday afternoon is an excellent way to provide your employees with a way to relax and celebrate the hard work they’ve done throughout the year. Having a BBQ will not only reward your employees on their hard work, but also lead them to working harder knowing that their effort and contribution is noticed.

Why plan a corporate BBQ for your employees?

Improves motivation

Employee motivation reflects around having trust, integrity, two-way commitment and communication between both employers and employees. It’s a way of ensuring that your employees increase their individual performance, productivity and all around well-being. These are all factors that will contribute greatly to increase your business success. Motivate for success!

“Employee engagement is an investment we make for the privilege of future proofing our organization’s productivity and performance.”  - IAN HUTCHINSON

Encourages teamwork

When you work within a team you’re more likely to come up with better ideas than you would work alone. Teamwork provides an openness and trust between employees and those of higher hierarchy. When an employee feels as though they are part of a team and their voice is being heard, they will most likely dedicate more time as well as energy into their job.

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” - HENRY FORD

A delicious recipe for the event!

Grilled chicken with mango and avocado salsa

INGREDIENTS:

Salsa

  • 2 cups diced mango
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice

Chicken

  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Salsa

  1. In a medium bowl, you must combine all the ingredients. After done, set aside for later.

Chicken

  1. Begin by brushing the chicken on both sides with olive oil. Followed by that, you need to season the chicken with salt and pepper to add some taste.

  2. After having prepared your chicken, you must preheat your grill or grill pan on a medium-high surface. Proceed to cook the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side (or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°). It is also possible to cook the chicken on a BBQ.

  3. Finally, remove the chicken and allow it to cool down for 5 minutes. After that it’s ready to eat! Simply top it off with the salsa you made in the beginning.

Top off this engaging corporate BBQ by providing your employees with beautiful wooden cutting boards. Not only is it completely appropriate to gift cutting boards during a BBQ, it also makes for a long-lasting gift that will remind your employees of the fun BBQ every time they use it. You can even go the extra step by engraving your company name.
